There is a certain mood to October, the moment when the leaves are turning colours, the elusive "peak" of the season, followed shortly by cold and frost, and bare trees. I've been told that Maine is beautiful in the fall, and so my daughter and I decided to test this theory with a short road trip, through Quebec and New Hampshire, and along route 26 into Maine. This gallery is a bit of a collaborative project this way, as I've included some of her photographs as well. As with other things, our photos bear a certain family resemblance, but her work has its own distinct flavour. This is the advantage of going someplace with another pair of eyes - or another lens, for that matter.
