There are still a few days in the end of September when the summer lingers a little longer, and the mood is one of easy-going festivity. It's the time to take advantage of the last of your summer plans, to get out to the parks and beaches with a good book and a picnic basket, to bask in the sun, to take long walks... This time of the year, everything has a kind of shiny veneer on it, like the light from the setting sun, and the air is getting just crisp enough to make the colours as bright and saturated as possible.

And Toronto Island Park, just across the bridge from the huge megapolis, is a place with a different pace, in a different time.
